This is a retouched and colorized very old black & white photograph. It had a washed-out sky and no water could be seen in the background. I used Painter to paint over the photo and add a sky with clouds and I painted the ocean and waves. I also removed a person who was walking on the beach behind the main subject. This was fun to do!

Thanks, Ashby and Pierre. This picture is very special in our family. It is of my wife's mother who died at age 28, in 1940, not long after this photo was made. Both our daughter and granddaughter are named after her.
